FitYoga is celebrating its first summer at the studio and with this new season we celebrate Freedom. This is a time of maybe transition of school, schedule and for many we get longer vacations (some not all). The heat requires us to wear less (no coats or jackets) and we can flow more. Our outdoor activity increases and that make us feel??? Fill in the blank_______.

This Freedom can definitely apply to our Yoga practice. Since our muscles and bodies are already heated we are more pliable, free and flexible. We have the opportunity to open our bodies and challenge ourselves to slow down a bit. Deep hip openers can be grounding when our energy is heated. Backbends may feel easier since we are more open, yet less is more. Move a bit slower and more methodically in the summer. The most important thing to acknowledge is your body and how it’s affected by the elements around you.

Staying motivated is also challenging. Therefore, FitYoga is offering a special 30 day challenge to help motivate those during this time of transition into summer. The heart of the 30 day challenge is Commitment. Whether you are new to yoga or have been practicing for years, you will discover amazing transformation inside and out! One of the best ways to develop the yoga habit is to commit to consistency.

Rules: Begins June 2nd (no class offered June 1st)

    1. Register via email June 1st or at studio by June 2nd
    2. Participate in a yoga class 5 out of 7 days a week for one month
    3. Bring a friend (who has never been to FitYoga) and earn an extra day!
